Ashghal to develop on- and off-street car parking within Doha Central and West Bay

Ashghal has invited interests for the development of multiple on and off-street carparking facilities within the Doha Central and West Bay areas as Public-Private Partnership. 

The project is part of Doha's beautification strategy with the purpose of reducing illegal parking in the area through the implementation of new, controlled and regulated parking facilities. 

The plan includes two new fully serviced multi-storey parking building in West Bay that will provide additional slots for 1,400 vehicles. There is another eight new fully serviced multi-storey parking buildings planned with 3,870 spaces in Doha Central. 

The newly developed car parking would include the latest smart parking technology supporting the National Vision integrated with other systems and initiatives. The developer can propose complimentary facilities at the parking site to aid revenue generation. The developer will be fully responsible for design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of the facilities over a period of 25 years.

Mowasalat Company is expected to have an ownership stake in the project company. 

The Public Works Authority is looking for a partner with international and/or regional experience in developing and managing similar car park facilities. Ashghal has invited Request for Qualification Documents which has to be submitted before November 5.
