Doha: A fire broke out in the Al-Ghanim area this afternoon and it was put out quickly without any casualties.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement on Twitter that the Civil Defence was able to successfully contain the fire in a building in Al-Ghanim area. There were no casualties reported from the incident.
Many people reported on social media about a huge black smoke from the Al Ghanim near Souq Waqif in the afternoon.

Many people reported on social media about a huge black smoke from the Al Ghanim near Souq Waqif in the afternoon and the quick response from the civil defence team to control and put the fire out thus limiting the damage.
