NMoQ invites families to join Family Saturday storytelling

Doha: National Museum of Qatar is inviting families to join their Family Saturday storytelling activity on April 16 from 9:30pm to 10:30pm.

In an Instagram post, it said the session will talk about the story book “Gergean and the Kangaroo” and will take place at Mohammed Jassem Alkhulaifi Library. The mode of language will be Arabic. Children ages 5 to 11 years old are encouraged to attend this session together with their parents.

The story is about a kangaroo named Mahboub who was waiting for his two friends to celebrate the Gergean, but they were unable to come for some reason. Find out what the explanation behind it through this storytelling session where you accompany Mahboub for this special Ramadan tradition.  For inquiries and bookings, email [email protected]. The storytelling session is free to attend but a registration is needed.

Meanwhile for those who want to learn the art of storytelling, the Museum of Islamic Art is offering a virtual learning on storytelling and work on a special craft activity from 9am to 10am until June this year. Mode of language include Arabic and English. This is free to attend but registration is required.
