Bishkek: Kyrgyzstan’s economy recorded growth in key indicators in January-February 2025.
Deputy Chairman of the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan Zainidin Zhumaliev said in a statement that the GDP in January-February 2025, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to over 205.5 billion soms (about $2.35 billion), an increase by 10.7 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
Zainidin indicated that the service sector’s share in the GDP accounted for 51.9 percent, while the commodity production sectors’ share was 29.2 percent, and product taxes contributed 18.9 percent.
The data showed that exports decreased by 24.7 percent, reaching $142.2 million, while imports decreased by 16.5 percent, reaching $841.6 million.
