DOHA: The 7th annual MultaQa Qatar conference, organised by the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority and Global Reinsurance concluded here yesterday.
A record number of over 500 senior delegates from more than 30 countries discussed the regional and global developments which impact MENA region’s (re)insurance markets during the two-day debates.
Shashank Srivastava, CEO and Board Member of QFC Authority, said: “The 7th annual MultaQa Qatar conference has highlighted the attractive opportunities offered by the (re)insurance markets in the MENA region. Delegates have examined the industry’s prospects in a truly comprehensive way, taking into account the relevant global context as well as senior views from major corporations, the original owners of risk.”
Akshay Randeva, Director of Strategic Development of QFC Authority, added: “This year’s MultaQa Qatar was another great success. A record number of senior executives and experts attended, representing a record number of countries. In addition, we facilitated more than 1,000 meetings that delegates arranged among each other.
