DOHA: Gulf International Services (GIS), the largest service group in Qatar, with interests in a broad cross-section of industries, has issued a statement to Qatar Exchange providing details on the wide-ranging discussions the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Al Koot Insurance and Reinsurance, has been involved with the government. The company confirmed that discussions were still in progress and that a firm decision on the nature of the involvement of the group’s insurance subsidiary had not been made to date.
