A fence around a meadow broken by visitors.
Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has called on the visitors to picnicking spots to preserve the meadows during their visits and avoid littering or lighting fires directly on the ground.
The Ministry stressed that removing or displacing the fences surrounding the meadows is an illegal act, and violators will be subjected to accountability, stressing that the necessary measures will be taken against violators in accordance with the applicable laws.
It explained that these fences are not placed to stop citizens and residents from the meadows but to protect the meadows and maintain their ecological balance so that everyone can enjoy the beauty of nature responsibly and sustainably.
The Ministry noted that the project to fence the meadows comes within the framework of its efforts to protect these areas from encroachments, prevent the entry of vehicles, and preserve the environmental and natural heritage, to ensure its sustainability for future generations.
