Doha, Qatar: beIN SPORTS (‘beIN’), the region’s leading sports network, will broadcast the second edition of the annual football fundraiser Match for Hope, live and free-to-air in 24 countries across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) on Friday, February 14.
Organised by Q Life, the cultural platform under the International Media Office (IMO), all proceeds raised from the event at Stadium 974 in Doha will go towards helping provide disadvantaged people and communities the chance of a brighter future. Following a hugely successful inaugural Match for Hope last year, the 2025 edition will feature a host of famous former players, including Andres Iniesta, Thierry Henry, Andrea Pirlo, and Mubarak Mustafa, as well as renowned digital content creators such as KSI, Chunkz, Adam Waheed, and AboFlah. The two teams will be managed by former PSG and Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino and Arsenal’s legendary ex-manager Arsene Wenger.
beIN’s free-to-air news channel, beIN SPORTS NEWS, will provide world-class Arabic studio coverage and analysis starting at 19:30 MECCA, led by beIN SPORTS presenter Mohamed Kidan and social media influencer Ahmed Pato. When the match kicks off at 20:00 MECCA, Arabic commentary will be provided by beIN’s Asya Abdullah who will make history as the first female commentator on a beIN SPORTS football broadcast. She will be joined by Othman Alqraini on commentary.
Meanwhile, beIN presenter Nathalie Rantisi, accompanied by influencers Abdullah Al-Ghafri and Mohammed Adnan, will bring viewers all the action from inside the stadium. Reporter Hamad Nawaf will also share fan reactions from outside the venue. beIN presenter Ali Shaheen will engage with football legends participating in the event. Arabic coverage will be mirrored live on beIN’s official YouTube channel. Live English coverage of the match will be available on beIN SPORTS ENGLISH 1.
Match for Hope 2025 will once again donate proceeds to the Education Above All Foundation (EAA), the global foundation founded, which aims to transform lives through education. Match for Hope 2024 raised more than US$8.8m for EAA, to help support more than 70,000 out-of-school children.
