Action from last week’s QSL Cup match between Al Rayyan and Al Markhiya at Al Gharafa Stadium.
Leaders Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa will be looking to continue their winning run and advance into the semi-finals stage of the QSL Cup as Round 4 action begins today at different venues.
Al Giants Al Rayyan who are leading Group B with three wins from as many games will take on Umm Salal today, targetting their fourth consecutive victory in the coveted tournament.
A win will almost confirm their place in the semi-finals of the tournament, aimed at testing young lot of players. Al Rayyan have so far showed aggressive display of football, scoring nine goals with their defence conceding just three goals.
However, Umm Salal who have been placed second with a win and a couple of draws, are also unbeaten in the competition so far and offer a tough challenge to Al Rayyan at Al Arabi Stadium today.
On the other hand, Al Gharafa will also be eyeing a spot in the semi-finals when they will meet unconquered Al Kharaitiyat at Al Ahli Stadium tomorrow.
Group A leaders, Al Gharafa have also earned three victories from three matches, but Al Kharaitiyat are also in good form with two wins, making the Al Ahli Stadium fixture a must-watch battle.
Meanwhile, in other matches today, Al Sadd who are on the bottom of Group B with three consecutive defeats, will be hoping their youngsters to excel against Al Arabi at Al Ahli Stadium.
The other match of the day will be played between Al Markhiya and Al Ahli at Al Wakrah Stadium.
Apart from Al Gharafa-Al Kharaitiyat match, tomorrow’s fixtures also include a showdown between Al Duhail and Al Sailiya besides a game between Qatar SC and Al Khor.
