The development process shall proceed, whether at the legislative or executive level, and during and after the World Cup, and with the same approach based on joint action, he added.

In addition, Al Sharqi said Qatar has embarked in recent years on developing legislation and laws related to the Labour sector that comply with Qatar National Vision 2030, achieve a comprehensive reform of the Labour sector and lead to a competitive knowledge-based economy.  It has made huge strides in terms of labour rights by adopting a set of legislation and reforms that reflect its commitment to providing a suitable and safe work environment, he added.

He said that QC and MoL meet continuously, discuss all issues related to the labour sector, and resolve any obstacles before the implementation of these reforms on the ground.
