Los Angeles: Brie Larson won the Golden Globe for best actress in a drama for the film "Room," in which she portrays a mother in captivity with her young son.
Larson bested Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, both nominated for "Carol," Saoirse Ronan for "Brooklyn," and Alicia Vikander for "The Danish Girl."
