Expo 2023 Doha offers F&B businesses in Qatar chance to showcase culinary delights

Doha, Qatar: Expo 2023 Doha is now accepting online applications for Food and Beverage (F&B) kiosk registrations. Both local and global brands are invited to join the culinary celebration. 

As the Expo is set to attract visitors worldwide, it promises not only engaging activities but also a feast of flavors that you can choose from.

These flavors include, but not limited to, Qatari, Indian, Filipino, Chinese, Korean, Thai, GCC, Egyptian, Lebanese, Turkish, Latin American and many more. 

A special option for healthy menu foods, as well as desserts and coffee shops are also available.

Applicants can choose from two kiosk size options (4x4m, 8x4m) or a food truck.

The list of guidelines was also revealed on the website, which included:

Hygiene/Municipality and MOPH compliance: General rules and regulation of F&B hygiene, food safety, storage and preparation will be applied.

Gas and charcoal: Both gas and charcoal are strictly forbidden, and only electric kitchen equipment are allowed.

Packaging: The use of plastic container is also not allowed; instead the applicants are to use sustainable eco-friendly packaging.

Food waste: Special bins will be placed in the main area and all food waste will be recycled and composted.

Lease: The agreement is for the whole 6 months duration, the operator has to abide by Expo working hours, if the restaurant is closed for more than 5 consecutive days, Expo management has the right to terminate the agreement and not refund the rent.

Delivery: Only the drivers and riders of the exclusive delivery partner of Expo will be allowed on site and the operator should be listed on the partners’ platform.

Menu: The menu should be reviewed and approved by the Expo management company; operators are not allowed to change it or update it without pre-approval from the management.

Pricing: Pricing should be reasonable; Expo management will announce and align the prices of water, bottled juices, and soft drinks; pricing of food items and beverages should be approved by the management, changes and updates should be pre-approved.

The application is not binding, and does not guarantee participation. The Expo 2023 commercial team will be reaching out in case an application is shortlisted.

Files containing pictures of the food, the menu, the exterior & interior of the eatery, as well as copies of the Certificate of Registration (CR) & the Trading License are also required from the applicant.
