Msheireb club won the Federation Amateur Cup beating Al Riffa 8-7 on penalties in the final at the Qatar University Stadium. In regulation time, both teams were locked at two goals each. A total of six teams participated in the tournament: Msheireb, Al Matar, Al Aziziyah, Al Wakr, Al Shaqab and Al Riffa. President of Musheireb Club Khaled Rashid Al Nuaimi expressed his delight on the team winning the title. He said: “I congratulate the technical staff and players on the well-deserved title after great efforts throughout the tournament, and at the expense of rivals Al Riffa, who have competent players in their ranks. I would like to thank and congratulate His Excellency Sheikh Eid bin Thamer Al Thani, President of Al Riffa Club, for the level that his team presented during the tournament, which the technical staff and players enjoyed.”
