Doha: The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Department of Qualifying and Skills Development, participated in the career fair organised by Umm Ayman Secondary Girls’ School, with the participation of government and private entities, educational institutions, and service centres.
The Ministry’s participation in the fair comes as part of its commitment to preparing and qualifying the national workforce, in line with the National Strategy for a skilled and highly productive workforce, and supporting the objectives of the national employment localisation plan in the private sector.
Ministry of Labour officials presented informative and advisory sessions to high school students, aiming to raise their awareness of the in-demand specialisations in the labour market. They also introduced the summer training programme offered by the Ministry for high school graduates and university students currently studying, along with training initiatives designed to qualify graduates seeking employment.
