Riyadh: Yemeni Vice President and Prime Minister Khaled Bahah discussed with UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on Saturday the preparations for the coming round of talks with the Houthi rebels and supporters of ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh, due to take place in mid-January.
Yemen's legitimate government will continue doing its utmost to restore peace and security in the country based on the provisions of the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2216 and the GCC initiative as well as the outcomes of the national dialogue, Bahah affirmed.
For his part, the UN envoy expressed hope that the next consultations will yield a breakthrough to the crisis and a return of security and stability to Yemen.
