Homeware Festival begins at Doha Festival City

Doha: Doha Festival City yesterday launched the much anticipated Homeware Festival showcasing the latest collections from a host of retailers, and offering a myriad of giveaways and an array of family-friendly activities. 

Running until April 8, the Homeware Festival will showcase the largest collection of homeware retailers in Qatar available at Festival City and their unique offering, suitable for decorating, renovating or designing any home, from a studio to a villa as well as any office. 

As part of the Festival, mini-exhibitions in the form of mock room set-ups will be showcased in the podiums distributed throughout the Mall, demonstrating the diversity of Festival City’s homeware offering as well as reiterating Doha Festival City as the one and only choice for furnishing and home decor shopping in Qatar.

Home to over 20 home furnishing and accessories stores participating in the Festival, including IKEA, ACE, MUJI  that are exclusive brands to the Mall, Doha Festival City also boasts the largest home section in the region from Marks & Spencer.

Participating retailers also boast a variety of unique concept stores including The One, Butterfly Design, Antoine Karam, Laura Ashley, Home Centre, Pan Emirates, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, West Elm, and Mothercare who will also showcase their collections in stylish minimalist room set up spread throughout the Mall. 

In addition, Villeroy & Boch, MADAM COCO, Karaca, H&M, Harvey Nichols, M&S, Tavola, Zara Home and W&B Home will showcase their homeware items in a special-designed glass pods until April 6. 

To add more excitement to the Festival, Doha Festival City has partnered with the Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) to run Festival City raffle draw offers (spend & win). 

Every cumulative QR200 spent at any of the Mall’s outlets, will be eligible to win grand prizes. 

Universal motors - Lotus, the official sponsor of the campaign, will provide the first prize – a Lotus Evora 400 4x4, worth QAR439,000. 

Twenty-one more prizes will include vouchers and gifts from a myriad of Doha Festival City participating retailers. 

For the first time in the country, the raffle draw will be 100% digital, and the draw finale will be held on April 9 when the winners will be announced live on the mall’s large digital screen near Cup of Joe, as well as online. 

New retailers will soon join Doha Festival City homeware selection, including Maya Paris, a multibrand luxury furtniture store, famous US  furniture brand Bernhardt, as well as Ambiance, Eclipse, Tansy Mattress and That’s Living kids store.

“We would like to invite all our guests to explore the Festival booths for each brand installed throughout the Mall’s nodes on the Ground and First Floor, and discover the largest homeware collections to embellish or refresh their home décor, and draw inspiration for new design solutions”, concluded Robert. 

In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. 

This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning and sanitization operations during mall trading hours. 

A total of 127 hand sanitizing stations have been installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.
