New York: The members of the UN Security Council on Friday strongly condemned Thursday's attack on a security training center in Zliten, Libya, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries, said a press statement of the council.
The members of the Security Council urged all parties in Libya to join efforts in combating the threat posed by transnational terrorist groups while calling on all Libyan parties to urgently implement the Libyan Political Agreement and work swiftly towards the formation of the Government of National Accord that "will work for the benefit of all Libyans."
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon earlier condemned the attacks, stressing "the urgency to implement the Libyan Political Agreement and form a Government of National Accord."
A truck bomb killed at least 70 people and injured more than 100 others Thursday at a police training camp east of Libya's capital Tripoli, according to media reports.
