Doha Institute for Graduate Studies has opened registration for its Arabic language courses for non-native speakers for the second semester this year.
The Director of the Language Center at the institute says courses are offered in beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
Classes are to start on January 26, 2020 and one-and-a-half hour classes are to be held twice a week.
He added the courses are part of institute's outreach initiative and “contributes to enhancing communication between the institute and individuals and organizations in the community.”
“The initiative aims to familiarise the foreign learner residing in Doha with the characteristics of Arab culture and its coexistence with the Qatari culture through a communicative approach that adopts the original educational content and also the authentic communication of the language as a major pillar of its teaching philosophy,” the press release said.
Doha Institute plays an important role in enhancing the status of Arabic as a language of knowledge and communication and at the same time allow students, citizens and residents to access English for international communication, it said.
