Rangers’ Brian Boyle fallls to the ice playing the puck as Rob Scuderi of the Pittsburgh Penguins looks on in Game Three of the Second Round of the 2014 NHL Stanley Cup play-offs at Madison Square yesterday.

ANAHEIM: Sidney Crosby ended a 13-game play-off scoring drought as the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the New York Rangers 2-0 yesterday to assume control of their Eastern Conference semi-final series.
Following their 3-0 win, the Penguins now enjoy a 2-1 edge in the best-of-seven series with Game Four set for New York.
Crosby sparked the contest into life when he netted on a breakaway early in the second-period for his first goal of the post-season.
It was just a matter of time for Crosby, who enjoyed a sensational regular season, winning his second Art Ross Trophy as the league’s leading scorer with 104 points
“The main thing is that you get chances and that you are out there creating things, making it tough on them,” Crosby, who also won the scoring title in 2007, told reporters.
“That’s the first step, but eventually you trust that it will go in if you get those chances.”
Jokinen added goal in the second and that was all the Pittsburgh needed. REUTERS
