Qatar Airways announces new destinations, resumes flights to 11 others

Doha: Qatar Airways announced seven new flight destinations during the ITB Berlin convention it participated in today.

The destinations are Chittagong, Bangladesh; Juba, South Sudan; Kinsha, DR Congo; Lyon and Tolouse, France; Medan, Indonesia; and Trabzon, Turkiye.

The airlines also decided to resume flights to 11 destinations, which are: Beijing, China; Birmingham, England; Casablanca and Marrakesh, Morocco; Davao, Philippines; Osaka, Japan; Phnom Pneh, Cambodia: Ras Al-Khaimah, Dubai; Tokyo Haneda, Japan; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Nice, France.

ITB (Internationale Tourismus Börse) Berlin is the biggest trade show in the world, and annually welcomes around 10,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries and regions. 

Recently in a press statement, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, HE Akbar Al Baker, said:

“We look forward to reuniting with the leaders of the global travel industry, especially our travel trade partners, to celebrate our achievements and to introduce our latest products and services to the industry dating back to before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.” 

“Our track record speaks for itself and over the years my country has strived towards being a beacon of positivity in the world of aviation and beyond, most notably as the host country of the greatest sporting event, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022,” he continued.
