Minister of Commerce and Industry, H E Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, met in London with UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade H E Jonathan Reynolds and Minister of State for Trade Policy and Economic Security H E Douglas Alexander. During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening and developing Qatar-UK cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, and industry, among other key areas of mutual interest. Minister of Commerce and Industry, emphasised that the United Kingdom is a key strategic partner for Qatar, noting that bilateral trade has surpassed $2.7bn. He also stressed the importance of finalising the Free Trade Agreement between the GCC and the UK, highlighting its role in enhancing trade cooperation between the two regions. The Minister further outlined Qatar’s successful economic policies to support the private sector.
