Doha: Aspire Academy hosted the first parents’ meeting for all grades for the first term of the 2021-2022 academic year in a face to face meet for the first time in nearly two years after the pandemic lockdown eased and student athletes are allowed to return to school and train in full capacity.

The meeting gave the Academy the opportunity to meet again the parents of its student-athletes to reflect on their performance both in their education and sporting sides so far and discuss means of improving their academic performance. The meeting also helped the Academy’s teachers and coaches communicating their expectations of the student-athletes, strengthen and build on the work performed since the beginning of this academic year.

Speaking at the meeting, School Vice-Principal Issa Al Moslemani said: “Parents meeting is an important moment in this school first term. It is very important to have such effective meetings with the parents to discuss their kids reports with their teachers and know better the academic records and levels of their kids before the first term’s final tests.

"On the other hand, we are very pleased to welcome back the parents to face to face meetings after nearly two years interruption due to the coronavirus pandemic, we at Aspire Academy we make sure to follow strictly the health protocol of the health authorities in gatherings by making sure that all safety measures have been respected and all attending parents are vaccinated as well as providing a large area to avoid crowds.”

This first Aspire Academy parents meeting of 2021-2022, which was extended on three hours duration to make sure the health safety measures have been observed and provide parents with enough time to attend in a comfortable condition, commanded a high attendance level of engagement by parents and staff.
