Beirut: The Israeli entity continued its attacks on southern Lebanon today, as part of a string of recurring breaches of the ceasefire agreement between the two parties that went into effect on Nov. 27.
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have been conducting daily bombs and operations to demolish the remaining houses in Kafrakla, Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported, adding that the people of the town have been waiting for days to enter the town, but to no effect.
The agency mentioned that several homes in the southern Lebanon region of Marjayoun were set on fire by the Israeli army.
On Jan. 26, the 60-day period for the IOF to leave the southern Lebanon border towns and villages came to an end, while the Lebanese government announced its agreement to extend the deadline until Feb. 18.
