United Development Company (UDC), a leading Qatari public shareholding company and master developer of The Pearl-Qatar and Gewan islands, welcomed visitors to Medina Centrale for the four-day Spring Festival, which kicked off yesterday.

The outdoor event, which runs until April 7, features a variety of entertaining programs to attract children and families to the most lively and dynamic community in the heart of The Pearl-Qatar.

“The purpose of this festival is to increase the footfalls of visitors to Medina central,” said Abdulrahim Al Ibrahim, Executive Director Commercial, UDC talking to reporters. “Medina central is a hub for people to come with their families and enjoy,” he added.

Throughout the festival, retail outlets in Medina Centrale are expecting to welcome a high influx of residents and visitors spending quality time between festival activities and the variety of retail and dining offerings that give Medina Centrale its casual feel.

The festival offers a rich program of events and attractions for the whole family. A mesmerizing flower tunnel structure has been erected especially for the event, in addition to roaming parades, stage performances, graffiti artists, and caricaturists. Meanwhile, children can take part in fun train rides, mascot shows, remote-control car racing, face painting, and drawing activities at a dedicated area featuring a playground and a host of workshops.

The festival is the latest event to be organized by UDC to promote The Pearl-Qatar as a one-stop destination for shopping, dining, and leisurely living.
