Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Sports and Youth’s Qatar Scientific Club will organise a series of activities during Ramadan, intended for enhancing scientific and technical awareness in society.

The activities include skill-boosting events across areas of cybersecurity, mental sports, and car mechanics, targeting different age groups and youth.

In the Oasis of Manufacturers and Innovators, Qatar Scientific Club will organise the open competition in cybersecurity on Tuesday, March 11. The competition targets youth aged 20-30.

On the same day, the club will present a lecture on cyber awareness concepts in English, focusing on how to protect and secure personal data on social media platforms, as well as how to identify fraudulent messages and avoid falling victim to them. The session will conclude with an awareness competition aimed at enhancing cyber literacy among participants.

Under the promising innovator section, the mental sports competition will be held on Monday, March 10, targeting students in the age group from 7 to 14 years. This competition aims to enhance and develop their arithmetic and mental skills by solving mathematical problems that require logical thinking.

In the automotive mechanics section, the club will organize a car repair challenge competition, where participants learn how to repair common car malfunctions.

In the final stage, they will be required to repair a car malfunction in a competitive setting, enhancing their technical abilities and providing them with hands-on skills in this field.
