Doha: The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, has praised Qatar for the great successes so far recorded at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Sunday night, the UK premier said: "Hats off to Qatar for hosting an incredible World Cup so far. The group stages will be remembered as one of the all-time greats."

On Friday, the Amir, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, spoke by phone with the UK Prime Minister.
During the call, Sunak congratulated the Amir on the launch of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, praising the good organisation, and wishing the participating teams well in the competition.
The call dealt with discussing bilateral relations and the means to enhance them in all different fields of joint cooperation, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments.
