Al Janoub to host Qatar-Saudi semi

Doha: The Organising Committee of the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup yesterday announced that the semi-final clash between hosts Qatar and Saudi Arabia will take place at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.

The second semi-final between Iraq and Bahrain will take place at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium at Al Duhail.

The winners will qualify for the final which will take place a the Khalifa International Stadium on December 8.

Qatari qualified for the semi-finals after beating the UAE 4-2 in their final Group A match to finish second behind Iraq, who topped the table after a goalless draw with Yemen.

Saudi Arabia qualified for the last-four stage by defeating the defending champions Oman to lead Group B. Bahrain eliminated Kuwait to finish second in their group to make it to the semis.
