Musikhin dominates at Qatar Match Racing Cup

Action from Sail Qatar, one of the two sailing events which form part of the Qatar International Regatta, in Doha yesterday. Qatar Match Racing Cup is the second event of the Regatta. The five-day event will end on October 5. 
 
Doha:  Sergey Musikhin of  Russia emerged on top at the first round of the Qatar Match Racing Cup while Maximilian Khyan Tat Soh of Singapore and Ahmed Al Naar of Bahrain were closely following the leader in second and third position.
Yesterday, the Russian maintained a perfect record winning all the six races.
Sailors from 14 countries will be taking part in the Sail Qatar, while five countries will be represented at the Qatar Match Racing Cup.
In Sail Qatar, one of the two events, which form part of the form part of the five-day Regatta organised by Qatar Sailing and Rowing Federation (QSRF), Kuwait’s Abdulaziz Alsaib is leading, followed by Veronika Zivna of Czech Republic and Adam Bettihthamou of Qatar. 
Besides hosts Qatar the other countries taking part in Sail Qatar are Brazil, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Italy, Jordan Kuwait, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Thailand, UAE and United Kingdom.  
Today’s action in Sail Qatar beings at 10 am from Doha Sailing Club, while sailors will sail from the same venue at 11 am in the Qatar Match Racing Cup.
