Doha: Ooredoo has announced it would hold a second round of The Art and The Mobile initiative in collaboration with Qatar Museums, in partnership with French football club Paris Saint-Germain.
Organisers selected 11 artists to take part in this round and paired with a PSG player. Each artist will be given a smartphone, with which they will create their masterpiece, signed by the player.
The 11 smartphone masterpieces will then be auctioned via Ooredoo’s social media account on Instagram, starting on July 5, 2021, with proceeds going to good causes.
Moza Al-Muhannadi, Director CSR, Sponsorship, and Media at Ooredoo, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Qatar Museums again, and our partners Paris Saint-Germain, to raise even more funds for charitable causes. We saw a phenomenal response to the last The Art and The Mobile initiative, raising a great deal for charity, and we’re sure this next auction will feature some equally incredible artworks that will fetch just as impressive amounts to help the less fortunate. We’re looking forward to seeing what our artists create this time around!”
