La Hoor finishes first at QREC

DOHA: La Hoor won the ‘Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage Cup’ at Qatar Equestrian and Racing Club (QREC) yesterday.

The horse trained by Hassan Ali Hassan Al Matwi won the prize of 45600.00 QR Mark Lawson was the jockey.

In second place, Mogida, trained by Abdulaziz Ali Al Qhatiri, claimed a prize of 17600.00 QR.

Shakeemah, trained by Alban De Mieulle came third, winning a prize of 8800.00 QR.

La Hoor’s race was one of six races to take place yesterday.

Among the winners in yesterday’s races, Raddadd won the ‘Maiden Plate’ meeting, with the horse also trained by De Mieulle. 

In the second race, ‘Thoroughbred Handicap’, jockey Stephan Ladadj rode Marked Red to victory.

Madj Al Shajaa, ridden by RR Ponce, grabbed victory in the third race of the evening, winning the ‘Thoroughbred Handicap Rated 60 - 80’, race.

Ladadj, who won the second race of the evening, made it two wins out of two, when he rode Clean Bowled to victory in the ‘Thoroughbred Handicap Rated 75 - 95’ race.

In the penultimate race, Gerald Avaranche won the ‘Throughbred Stakes’ race who rode Al Muthanaa  to first place.

The next race meeting to take place will be on Wednesday, with six races. THE PENINSULA
