Doha: Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library H E Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari and President of Qatar University Dr. Hassan bin Rashid Al Derham on Thursday visited Darb Al Saai, QND celebration venue in Umm Salal Mohammed, accompanied by Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the National Day 2022 celebrations H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani.
This national Day, which falls on Decembers 18 of each year, is held under the slogan “Our Unity Source of Our Strength”.
During the tour, Their Excellencies were briefed on some of Darb Al Saai’s heritage and cultural activities, reviewed the artistic exhibitions and attended the Poetry and Values seminar at Darb Al Saai Theatre.
The President of Qatar University said in a statement that he was pleased to visit Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal Mohammed, and to get acquainted with the new and distinguished activities, praising the remarkable organization.
He said that the first thing that caught his attention was the good and distinguished planning and organization of activities and shows, adding that this year’s edition includes many new activities and ideas that are presented for the first time. The President of Qatar University hailed the Ministry of Culture’s activities presented to the general public and the participation of parents, families and children, including citizens, residents, guests and visitors of the Qatar in Darb Al Saai activities.
