Doha: Ooredoo has announced that it has won two significant awards at the 2021 Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) annual conference and awards ceremony, recognising its long-standing position as a leader in providing best practice investor relations (IR) to the regional investment community.
At the MEIRA awards ceremony, held on October 25, Ooredoo Group won the ‘Leading Corporate for Investor Relations – Qatar,’ and ‘Best Investor Relations Professional – Qatar’ awards.
Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo, Managing Director of Ooredoo, said: “We are honoured that our efforts to provide best practice investor relations have been recognised yet again, for the sixth year in a row.
“It has always been our aim to disclose transparent, timely, and fair information to the wider investment community, and these awards are testament to our efforts. The Middle East Investor Relations Association is the largest IR event in the Mena region. It was held this year under the theme “An Odyssey, from ESG to IR,” as the association aims to highlight the importance of ESG for all stakeholders in the investment community. The hybrid event was held both virtually and in-person in Dubai.
