Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met yesterday with Secretary-General of the Palestinian Fatah Movement’s Central Committee H E Major General Jibril Rajoub, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation and relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them. They also discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to several issues of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasised Qatar’s permanent support for the brotherly Palestinian people and their just cause, stressing the need to end the division and consolidate Palestinian unity to achieve Palestinians’ legitimate national rights, foremost among which is their right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
