Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has advised the public to follow safety guidelines during the Eid Al Adha celebrations and summer vacation.

In relation to those who plan to enjoy a sea trip, the ministry stressed that the individuals must adhere to the safety requirements for boats and yachts.  The ministry said that individuals must register a sailing request through Metrash2 app or accredited register counters. Individuals must also make sure that the life jackets and lifebuoys are provided by the captain.

They must also ensure that the climatic conditions are in favour of sailing and must keep the loved ones informed regarding the destination and expected time of return.

The ministry noted that these measures are put in place to ensure people enjoy Eid with friends and families spending their vacations in the country.

MoI also warned parents regarding the safety measures to be a foremost priority while enjoying entertainment activities with their children.

The ministry said: “In order to safeguard children in entertainment and recreational areas, we kindly urge you to maintain continuous supervision and ensure they remain within close proximity to their family members.” Qatar Meteorology Department said the country is expected to witness high temperatures with slight dust at some places during the daytime commencing today until the middle of the week.

It also noted that July, being the second month of Summer, will record the highest average temperature in 2023. With the Eid activities and festivals still ongoing, MoI has repeatedly underscored the common safety measures  implemented in Qatar.

“Adherence to traffic signals at crosswalks is crucial for preventing run-over accidents and promoting overall road safety. Remember, pedestrian safety is a shared responsibility. Let’s keep our streets safe for everyone,” it tweeted.

To ensure a safe and smooth traffic flow in the country, the ministry has also deployed traffic personnel and patrols in public areas and different localities during Eid Al Adha holidays.
