Doha: The police have arrested a gang of five involved in the night-time robbery of business establishments in different parts of the country.
The Criminal Investigation Department launched the investigation after a series of incidents targeting the night-time businesses came to their notice.
The special team tasked with the mission finally zeroed in on the five Asians after intensive investigations.
The team also seized portions of the loot and tools they used to open the safes at their targeted businesses, often at open storage facilities of the shops.
After the required permission the team questioned the gang and they confessed to committing what was attributed to them.
The arrested people and the confiscated materials have been handed over to the competent authorities to proceed with the legal actions.
