Cricket: Qatar to open ACC Under-19 Elite Cup campaign against Malaysia

Qatar will compete in the ACC Under-19 Elite Cup tournament that will be held from today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Qatar open their campaign against Malaysia on May 4.

DOHA: Qatar will begin their ACC Under-19 Elite Cup tournament campaign against the hosts Malaysia on May 4 in their Group B clash at Kinrara Academy Oval. 

Qatar will have little time to rest, with their next match against Nepal, to be played at Bayuemas Oval.

Qatar will then face Bahrain on May 7 at Kinrara Academy Oval, which has a capacity of 4,000, before playing their final group match against Kuwait at Selangor Turf Club on May 8.

A total of ten teams will be competing in the tournament.

The tournament will be held in Kuala Lumpur from today until May 12.

Group A consists of Afghanistan,  Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Thailand and the Unite Arab Emirates.

As well as the two semi-finals  and final, a 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th play-off matches will be played to determine the team’s positions in the tournament.
