Doha: Many parts of Qatar have been hit by strong dust wind causing low visibility.

Qatar Meteorology Department said on their official twitter handle that the “country will be affected by a dust wave” in the afternoon and the winds are mostly northwesterly, ranging between 15-25 knots, sometimes 35 knots and sometimes less than 1 km.

The dust is expected to recede at night.

“The northwest wind speed is from 15 to 28 knots now with low visibility (2-6 km) due to dust, and it is expected that the wave of dust will gradually recede during the night,” the weather department tweeted.
