Doha: There will be a decrease in the horizontal visibility to less than 3 km in some areas of Qatar due to dust, and it is expected that the visibility will improve in the evening hours on Wednesday, the Department of Meteorology has said.
Fresh to strong winds exceeding 22 KT are expected in western areas, according to the department.
Earlier in its daily report, the Meteorology Department announced that the inshore weather on Wednesday will be hazy in some places at first and mild during the day with scattered clouds.
The report added that there will be scattered clouds to partly cloudy skies offshore, with warnings of strong winds and high seas.
The inshore wind will be southeasterly to southerly at 5 to 15 knots with gusts up to 22 knots.
Offshore, it will be southeasterly at 12 to 22 knots, gusting to 28 knots at times.
At first, visibility will be 4 to 8/3 kilometers or less.
The sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet, surging to 5 feet at times. Offshore, it will be 4 to 7 feet, rising to 9 feet at times.
