In year 2021, Qatar played important role in promoting unity among GCC states and Arab countries with the participation of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in different high-level forums.
In terms of strengthening the march of the GCC Council and the unity of the Gulf and Arab ranks in general, Amir participated with his brothers, the leaders of the GCC countries, and heads of delegations, in the work of the meeting of the 41st Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit which was held at Maraya Center in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia, on January 5.
H H the Amir also participated in the 42nd session of the GCC Supreme Council, which was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on December 14.
In the same context, the year 2021 witnessed the convening of the sixth meeting of the Qatari-Saudi Joint Coordination Council.
During its meeting, the Council reviewed the strong brotherly relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them in various fields to broader horizons in a way that meets the aspirations of the leadership of the two countries and achieves the interests of their peoples, especially in the political, security, economic, investment and other fields.
The council also dealt with a number of regional and international issues of common interest, especially the latest developments in the region, in addition to exchanging views on everything that would protect stability and security in the region.
