Doha: Ministry of Municipality and Environment organised an awareness campaign and clean-up competition at the Purple Island in Al Khor on Friday, October 30.
The Public Hygiene Department of the ministry conducted the competition to clean up the island (also known as Bin Ghannam Island).
The clean-up drive was conducted to promote eco-tourism and sustainable development.
As part of community partnership, private tourism company Tartebkum Holidays was also part of this initiative and will give three prizes to the winners.
