Fresh northwesterly winds are blowing across Qatar and is expected to be until April 3.
Expected to be stronger today and tomorrow, the wind would be accompanied by dust mass originating from northern Arabian Peninsula.
Qatar Meteorology Department had issued marine warnings of strong wind and high waves.
The department also expects there to be some clouds for the day with the horizontal visibility being less than 2km at times due to the active wind.
The northerly wind is expected to make temperatures drop back to their normal range with maximums around early thirties expected in Doha and minimums around early twenties.
Qatar Meteorology Department urges all to be cautious and to avoid going to sea as well as to follow latest updates only through their official social media accounts.
In coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, the department listed safety precaution during this weather:
* All people especially elderly and asthma patients or any other respiratory conditions should avoid direct contact with dust.
* Those who have done eye or nose surgeries recently should also avoid any direct contact with dust.
* Wash face, nose and mouth regularly to prevent dust from reaching lungs.
* Wear a mask when going outdoors.
* Avoid rubbing your eye to prevent eye infection.
* Check with nearest health center in case any allergy symptons occur.
* Go to the emergency department if you have severe difficulty in breathing.
