As per the latest update from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class X and Class XII CBSE students in Qatar do not have to re-sit for their Maths and Economics papers.
According to the recent update from the CBSE, only students in two Indian states - Haryana and Delhi -- need to reapper for Class X Maths paper. While students in India appear for Class 12 economics paper since it was leaked only in the country. There will be no fresh exam outside India for both the classes.
Dr. Subhash B Nair, Convener of Indian School Principals’ Forum and Principal of Shantiniketan Indian School, said that the CBSE circular confirmed that there is no need for foreign students to re-appear for both the papers.
Indian students in both the classes in the country on Wednesday were informed by their schools that CBSE had plans to arrange for fresh examinations since the papers appeared to have leaked.
Following which class X parents had signed petitions to the CBSE board urging them not to conduct exams for students since majority of the students were not involved in any such activity.
The announcement cancelling the re-exam for international students came as a relief for parents, some of whom had plans to travel back home to India for further education.
