DOHA: Doha Independent Preparatory School and Secondary School (DIPSS) for Boys, will received coaching lessons from the Qatar Cricket Assocation (QCA).
QCA General Secretary Manzoor Ahmad visited the school and held a meeting which was organised by Wajdi Emam, Chief of Sports Department along with the Director General of the School Gholoum A Abdulla recently.
During the visit, Ahmad explained to Gholoum that the QCA have chosen DIPSS as one of the four Qatari schools in which the cricket organisation have chosen.
Three schools are already undertaking a coaching programme to introducing cricket to Qatari schools, according to the QCA Secretary General.
Dr Ihab, who attended the Asian Cricket Council coaching programme and became a qualified Level One coach having passed the assessments, will coach the students, along with his colleague at QCA Abdul Salam.
DIPSS’ Director General gave a memento to Ahmad and pledged his support in QCA promoting cricket at the school as well as the other schools in Qatar.
The QCA are also planning to arrange a tournament among the four schools on Sports Day.
