Al Qadi clinches Big Tour win with Morocco

Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi won the Big Tour Class in the ninth round of Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour when he guided his 13-year-old stallion Morocco in a flawless 'winning round'.

At the Longines Outdoor Arena at Al Shaqab, the Qatari rider completed the winning round in 43.42 seconds to top the timesheets.

Al Qadi had earlier completed the qualifying round in 66.48 secs, but had made four errors on the way. Little Lord Pezi 2, with Khalid Mohammed Al Emadi in the saddle, was the second fastest to complete the winning round without faults as he completed the task in 50.18 secs.

Mohammed Saeed Haidan and D Saucedo completed the same task in 41.30 secs, but committed four faults on the way.

Qatar Equestrian Federation and Modern Pentathlon (QEFMP) Secretary-General Sheikh Ahmad bin Nooh Al Thani and Longines Hathab General Services Manager Khjaim Al Athba presented the trophies to winners. The next round of the popular equestrian series will take place from February 23-25.
