Qatar Meteorology Department said that “light rains continue to be observed in the northeast and inside the sea and the chances of rain are expected to continue until tomorrow dawn.”
The department said this in an evening tweet.
An earlier QNA report quoting the department said the “weather inshore tonight until 6 a.m. on Thursday will be slightly cloudy and weak chance of light rain at places by night.”
Offshore, it will be fine to partly cloudy with chance of scattered rain, the report added, warning of strong wind and high sea.
Wind inshore will be northwesterly at a speed of 5 to 15 knots.
Offshore, it will be northwesterly at a speed of 12 to 22 knots.
Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometers.
Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet surging to 5 feet at times. Offshore, it will be 5 to 7 feet surging to 8 feet at times.
