Qatar reports 171 Covid-19 cases on Nov 29

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 171 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 211 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 135,862. 

Out of the 171 new cases, 125 are community cases and 46 from travellers returning from abroad.

So far, 237 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 138,648 and there are 2,549 active cases under treatment.

3,212 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (7,566tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 1,108,078 tests.

There are 29 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients in the hospital to 279.

No patient was admitted to intensive care, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical attention in intensive care currently to 33.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate

- Wearing a face mask

- Washing hands regularly
