Speaker of the Shura Council H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem met with Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly H E Marzouq bin Ali Al Ghanim and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting dealt with reviewing ways to enhance cooperation between the Shura Council and the National Assembly and joint GCC parliamentary work. It also reviewed a number of topics of joint interest.
Speaker of the National Assembly congratulated the Speaker of the Shura Council on the success of the country’s first-ever legislative elections, the inauguration of the first ordinary session of the first legislative term corresponding to the Shura Council’s 50th annual session, and on His Excellency’s election as the new Speaker of the Shura Council and wished him, his deputy, and the members of the council well.
