DOHA:  The Qatar Meteorology Department has warned residents of Qatar to expect strong dusty wind from Friday  night until Tuesday. It also urged all to be cautious and to avoid going to sea as well as to follow latest updates through official social media accounts.

Here is the full text of the message appeared on the Civil Aviation Authority website:   

The country expected to be affected by northwesterly fresh to strong wind starting from tomorrow night 30/03/2018 until Tuesday 03/04/2018 accompanied by a dust mass originating from northern Arabian Peninsula as well as blowing dust due to strong wind causing visibility to drop below 1 km in some areas especially on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, marine warnings of strong wind and high waves will be in effect where wave height expected to reach 8 to 10 Ft. The northerly wind expected to make temperatures drop back to their normal range with maximums around early thirties expected in Doha and minimums around early twenties. Therefore, Qatar Meteorology Department urges all to be cautious and to avoid going to sea as well as to follow latest updates through our official social media accounts.
