The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) has opened applications for 2017-2018 WISE Accelerator programme.
Projects from all sectors and regions of the world are invited to apply for the 2017-18 WISE Accelerator by June 14.
The WISE Accelerator is intended to support the development of innovative projects in the field of education with high potential for scalability and positive impact.
It relies on the expertise of qualified mentors and partners to provide projects with effective strategies and concrete support to ensure their development.
“Five projects are selected annually to join the one-year programme. Throughout the year they benefit from tailor-made mentorships to address specific needs. The WISE Accelerator assists the selected projects to connect with an international network and create opportunities to share knowledge and find support among potential donors and investors,” WISE said on its website calling applications for 2017-2018 WISE Accelerator programme.
“Projects addressing education challenges through the use and/or design of technology in all sectors and regions are encouraged to apply,” it further said.
Ideal candidates for the WISE Accelerator will be existing projects at an early stage of development, and including a significant and growing number of beneficiaries or customers, a record of activities with a product or service that has been successfully implemented and beyond proof of concept and clear future objectives and motivation to develop further.
The eighth WISE summit will take place between November 14 and 16 in Doha under the theme ‘Co-exist, Co-create: Learning to Live and Work Together.’
The WISE Summit is a unique opportunity to engage in the important debates and discussions on the full range of pressing education challenges with a diverse, global community committed to building strong, prosperous, and secure societies through education.
