Garuda Team members with Ambassador Cup 2021, which won this year’s tennis tournament.
This year’s edition of Indonesian Lawn Tennis Association in Qatar is a success anchoring the theme “Tennis Tournament Indonesian Migrant Workers - Ambassador Cup 2021.”
This event is in collaboration with Indonesian Embassy in Qatar, and supported by Bank Central Asia and Fresh Green – Healthy Stop. Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar H E Ridwan Hassan said: “The tournament aims to bond the solidarity and cohesiveness among the Indonesian migrant workers in Qatar.
“We embrace them not only as migrant workers who work in Qatar but also as the ambassador who has contributed a lot in promoting Indonesia in Qatar.”
The match resulted in the win of Garuda Team composed of seven members, including Rony Susanto, Yan Gumilar, Ari Nugroho, Saif Din, Fedia Iskandar, Maryoto, and Ali Musthopa. The second placer is the Bhineka Team, and third placer, Khatulistiwa Team. A total of 28 players coming from Al Khor, Messaieed, Al Wakra, and Doha participated and gathered in Aspire Zone where the tournament match took place.
The tennis tournament is aimed to strengthen the bond among Indonesian migrant workers in Qatar, alongside campaigning healthy lifestyle.
